I was able to catch another of the Railserve GP I had never caught leading. The Railserve paint job isn't the fanciest ever. But the paint on RSSX 1590 is fresh looking and clean.
It's a nice night to be out. As the YSC53 Chevron local head for home. EMD GP38N's 724 and 693 are today's power.
Not the best looking power in the world. But it sure sounded good. Must of been a heavy train. With three up front, a DPU mid train, and a DPU on the rear. The power was really screaming as it rol... (more)
LUE46 has pulled up in front of the silo in Erda, Utah. Two crew members are off the train pulling switches, unlocking gates so they can go to work switch out the cars.
No day off for the LUE46 local. I was able to catch the LUE46 out running on the morning of Labor Day. Granted they only had four cars. They are heading for the silo in Erda.
Living in Union Pacific country it's always a treat to get a BNSF trackage rights train. Then a BNSF coal train is really cool. Throw in a Norfolk Southern for a little variety.
It's pretty awesome to get to see locomotives of this vintage still earning their keep in 2024. RSSX 1337 and 1633 are bring 72 loads of sulfuric acid produced at the smelter during there smelting... (more)
I was able to catch a real treat on Wednesday night. I was able to catch Railserve GP7U 1337 of Santa Fe heritage. It's the first time I've caught this guy leading. Originally ATSF 2696. Second un... (more)
Thanks to this BNSF train getting stopped for the Wendover local. I was able to set up for another shot. BNSF 3705 FXE 4066 BNSF 6542 cruse across the ex Western Pacific causeway.
I was able to luck into a BNSF train leaving Roper yard westbound, during my commute home. A pretty nice consist on top of that. A GE tier 4 and a Ferromex SD70ACE.
The Chevron local return a little later than usual. Making for some nice lighting.
Some nice clouds and good smoke. The Chevron local pulls out of the Chevron refinery. With 26 cars bound for Roper Yard.
A little different angle, of the Kennecott coming into the Garfield yard.
Today edition of the Chevron local, I was really luck to catch it. It got around me. But luckily it had a train in front of it, that forced it to stop. Giving me a chance to catch up, and get a pi... (more)
Shoving down a 76 car acid train to the Garfield yard to be picked up by Union Pacific.
