This unusual crossing signal still works correctly at an apparently unused private crossing. The lights did go out when a westbound freight approached.

The NS 4001 and NS 4000 "DC to AC" units lead the NS 757 into the West Yard in Roanoke after a trip from Belews Creek Steam Station.

The NW 1218 sits in the yard at the Virginia Museum of Transportation. The locomotive had been moved out from under the shelter for a special event photo shoot for the weekend.

After losing the #4 traction motor while pushing the NS 756 to Belews Creek Steam Station, the NS 8721 has the motor replaced with an axle for the trip back to the repair shop in Roanoke.

The NS 3667 along with the NS 8105 Interstate slowly lead the NS 272 south over a flooded section along the Mayo River. This area received over 4 inches of rain in a 16 hour period.
