Built December 8th 1956, retired April 10th 1990, and restored December 17th 2006, the "Gibsonville" caboose is open daily from 8am to sunset for tours and is in very good condition.
Several loaded trains await crews at the South Yard with the almost restored Virginian Station looking better than ever. The old catenary poles from the Virginian days can still be seen standing.
