The Batten Kill Railroad is an interesting short line for many reasons. One being the manned flagging of unmarked crossings.

Originally NYC>PC>CR, one of the few GP10 "torpedo boats", a favorite configuration of mine. CB&Q was great also. Too bad someone hasn't done that commemorative, as this is, sorta.

CBRW 608 W/B at Bruce, WA on June 27, 2023 with CBRW 12 and 2274. This was a fairly short train of 16 cars on this day. CBRW 602 & 12 are SD9's while the CBRW is a GP9u rebuilt by the ATSF.

The Shenandoah Valley local crew builds their outbound train at their small yard in Staunton.

A lone Caterparrott SD70M-2 pull interchange and storage cars up the former G&F main as they work hard upgrade.
