After traffic south of Palmer Lake has cleared, a southbound Santa Fe manifest passes through the “sag” between Spruce and Palmer Lake, Colorado.

On a beautiful April day on Colorado’s Joint Line, a southbound Santa Fe manifest has conveniently stopped for clearance next to the sign identifying the location as Spruce.
