It's nice to see a pure set of EMD's up front. This west bound is about to completely jam up Salt Lake Cities North Yard, and take the final open track.

Not something you see everyday. A 15 hour late Amtrak number five. Make it way across the Western Pacific causeway on the Great Salt Lake. Lead by one of the older P40DC's 816.

I was able to catch Railserve GP15 697, and SSRX GP38 3670 climbing up through the canyon between Garfield and the Kennecott Smelter. They sound and looked good in the evening light.

Even though it been here awhile. I finally was able to get a picture of Railserves GP15, in use at Kennecott Copper. I've only ever seen it up to this point hidden up in the smelter.

UP 3090 and 8749 are really grinding away between Lakepoint and Erda. Down to about twenty miles and hour or less. I'm am always excepted any time I can catch one of Union Pacific SD70ACe-T4's lea... (more)
