After setting off and picking up in Monessen, a W&LE local works upgrade towards the mainline, visible at upper right.
A minor derailment near Smithton has brought traffic on CSX to a halt, allowing the W&LE to get out of the yard without having to wait for any trains to pass on CSX.

Eastbound ore takes the grade headed towards Longview as it crosses Saw Mill Run in the absolute last speck of decent light. It was fun seeing Wade, John, and Brad out and about!

Eastbound ore from Weirton crosses The Parkway West on a nice afternoon. WE 611 will tie on as helpers and assist the train towards Connellsville.
