A crude ore train makes it's way from the mine to the processing plant at Forbes, MN this was shot at the the high temp of the day, 5 below zero.

A strange but good looking pair they do make. B&LE 903 and IC 6257 lead 97 empties and one load that wouldn't dump out of the Fairlane plant and back to the mine for more ore.

The Bessemer 907 has the sanders going as the 50-car loaded train heads south. The first cut of cars had what appeared to be limestone, followed by taconite pellets.

The sun pops out as a southbound ore train rolls into Albion. I like how the Bessemer colors stood out against the shadowed trees in the background.
