Postard from Achensee. Loco n. 1 has just completed shunting and water supplying at the dead end station of Seespitz. After arrival of the ship, she will bring tourists downhill to Jenbach.

One metre gauge cogwheel steam ocomotive #2, built 1889 by the Wiener Lokomotivfabrik, at the station Eben.

One metre gauge cogwheel steam locomotive #4 is passing the village of Maurach on the way to Seespitz.

Locomotive #4 arrives at Eben on the 1889 built Achenseebahn.

Locomotive #2 with two open cars on the way to Seespitz on the lake Achensee. The Achenseebahn is Europe`s oldest rack railway which is still steam operated only.

Locomotive #2 is climbing down the 16% rack section to Jenbach.

This loco was built in 1899 and is still used on the Achenseebahn along with it's two sister locos.

#2 runs round it's train in the loop at Maurach. It will propel the train to the terminus as there is no run round loop there.

This metre gauge railway still uses is three original locos dating from 1899. Unusually, the Jenbach to Eben section is rack worked but Eben to Achensee is adhesion.
