BNSF 8240 leads an oil train down grade on Montana Rail Link's Bozeman Hill several miles west of Livingston, MT.

The duo starts up the steep grade out of Livingston as another merchandise train pull up beside them.

In the middle of their climb up the steep pass, 40 cylinders of original EMD hit notch 8 as as they approached the crossing and words fail to adequately describe the experience.

Soaring above I-90, the 841 Local is heading to Manhattan to start the days chores.

With everything in the picture on the chopping block, all too soon this will be looked back on as "the good old days".

Who would have thought that in 2019 we'd still be able to see original GP35's and 20 cylinder SD45's working together? Livingston Local does some switching on a frigid but beautiful day.

Loaded BNSF coal train just left Livingston trying to make the climb. Once the coal train reached Livingston it had to add the more helpers from MRL to be able to climb the grade.
