Built in an era when freight cars were much smaller, this ex-EJ&E SW1 is dwarfed by today's larger cars. Here the 31 is sandwiched by a pair of cars as it switches the USB plant in Cloquet.
This is one of those classic little "donkeys" which toiled away almost everywhere on this great old railroad, sometimes even MU'd in strings of four on road freights.
