A pleasant surprise. After spending Good Friday in Folkston, there was enough light to catch one more train....

Amtrak 97 and 137 lead the southbound Silver Meteor through Folkston, Georgia. Most of the snow from a rare winter storm has finally melted in the area.

Southern Snow! Historic Snowstorm did not leave south Georgia unscathed, with 2-4 inches here. I-95 and local airports shut, but even running late Amtrak was still moving.
