A solid set of T&NO f-units, upgraded by the railroad to F9's entering Newhall Yard, passing under what was then Highway 17, now I-880. No data on the pigeons.

Taken from on board the Northbound (SP Westbound) Coast Daylight as the helper units came back from Cuesta. #3009 was a passenger equipped locomotive.

As SP 6446, this locomtive had passed thru Martinez untold hundreds of times. As Amtrak 110, the locomotive was still doing it in April of 1975 with the Oakland-bound afternoon San Joaquin

Ready head North to Cheyenne with #5, the Westbound San Francisco Zephyr is at Denver Union Station. At that time, #5 still operated over the UP from Cheyenne over to Ogden.
