The rear end crew off a freight that just arrived waits for their ride to the yard office as 5009 and crew work the end of the yard.

A pair of big U-boats depart Hornell with train MB-1. It was unusual to see a caboose as the 1st car of the train.

All of Chessie's paint schemes are present in this lashup. WM, B&O, Chessie, and the 4th unit is a C&O GP-35.

A D&H Eastbound with 4 lightning stripe units and a unit in the newer blue scheme pass the classic Cobleskill Coal building.

425 & BH 422 lead the Northbound freight on a snowy, overcast morning. The train is crossing over Pole Bridge Road.

A Westbound CNW freight is just West of Byron MN. The train can be seen stretching all the way back to town. The C-425 pair & slug are also getting some help from a geep.

2 black SD-40's are leading a much more colorful ex EL Bicentennial SDP-45 on an Eastbound.

An F-unit and 2 geeps arrive at Bison Yard with a train that came across Canada. Another classic from my old Graphlex 35mm.

An Eastbound CR freight stops at SR Tower to add the Gulf Summit helper to its engine consist. U36-C 6590 will be added in behind the 2276.

These U-25-Bs have not yet received a CR "patch" job and are still in full PC markings.

The power for RS-97 is stopped in front of the yard office before it heads down to its train. It turned out that the coupler on the trailing unit was frozen and the crew could not make a good conn... (more)

An early CR lashup, with no 2 models alike. Not sure what that E unit was doing in the consist.

606, 608, and an RS-3 sit parked on one of the dead tracks at Colonie. These units had run out of time on the D&H and were not returned to service.

This was the 1st detour train after the tunnel on Belden Hill was closed due to some sort of mishap on 4/13/1979. The power has cut off and will run around its train before being pulled backwards ... (more)

Another nice Guilford lashup with a Westbound freight. Those MEC orange U25-Bs were nice to catch leading.
