Remarks & Notes
Alco 5, one of the plant switchers that was used at the Alco plant in Schenectady, crosses NY Rt 8 while running NB to North Creek on the former D&H Adirondack Branch. The Rt 8 bridge over the Hudson River is in the background. This location is known as Riverside on the RR. The 5 is headed to retrieve some equipment and move it south. This is the first train to North Creek since Saratoga & North Creek (Iowa Pacific) pulled out of this operation in 2018 amidst financial issues. The last SNC train out of North Creek was September 7, 2018. NOTE: Crossing protection out of service due to status of line. All crossings were protected by flaggers.
