Would make a nice little scene on a model railroad layout, perhaps even moreso on a shelf style layout.

The crossing gate on the right looks like its been turned toward the tracks. I'm guessing that was part of this line's abandonment/embargo?

Why are the gates not down?

Interesting, The crossing gate lights are flashing, the engine is in the middle of the road crossing BUT the crossing arms are still up.

The line has been out of service for 2 years with most crossing protection deactivated. This was a one time trip. The crossing was manually flagged and one of several flaggers can be seen returning to the locomotive by the cab.
