A year-old E60 heads south with a long string of Amfleet cars, crossing Bel Air Avenue by the old taxi stand. Note the Nathan P01235 horn above the fireman's window- it's a standard P5 with the #4 bell replaced by a 0-bell. Both bells played the same note, "A," but the 0 was one octave lower, giving these engines a unique sound. This horn was used only on the E60s. No. 974 was built by GE for Amtrak in February, 1976.
Lots of acton one of the busiest - and fastest - sections of the Northeast Corridor plus the Capitol Limited going through Harpers Ferry, Sand Patch Tunnel and more.
