NYSW SD33ECOs 3012 and 3016 (both originally SP tunnel motors) are in charge of train SU99 racing upgrade through the Rock Cut at Oak Ridge, NJ high above Route 23 on its way west to Binghamton.
A colorful and varied consist led this edition of the NYS&W SU-99. Most notable was the CSX mother/slug set that would lead until Sparta, NJ, where they were cut off to be used as local power.
SU-99 crosses the four-way intersection in Midland Park as it begins it's long upgrade fight that will not ultimately end until the summit at Stockholm.
