Texas Oklahoma & Eastern GP40-2 D-16 is seen in DeQueen, Arkansas, on March 11th, 1983. This engine was built by EMD in November 1973.
TO&E is a subsidary of DeQueen & Eastern RR and was owned by Weyerhaeuser. The DQ&E and TO&E were recently sold to Patriot Rail Corp in 2010.
I believe this was the only butt-head left at this point. It's the only one I ever saw. In any case it's a classic.
I shot this years ago on the other side when the unit was new.
