After a long day of sightseeing at Arches Nation Park. I slipped out to catch the evening Amtrak number 5 just East of Green River.

UP 844 rounds the Lofgreen curve after a 20 year hiatus from this trackage.

It's another beautiful morning in the Price River canyon as Amtrak train 6 is between Colton and Kyune. Locomotives 5 and 117 are the power for the Zephyr today.

A loaded coal train off the Pleasant Valley Branch (Skyline load-out) returns to the main for a late evening trip down the canyon.

It's always a treat to behold mountainous railroading in action. Especially 5 units up front and 6 manned helpers wind through the canyon. The Utah Railway is truly special sight to see.

After a long road trip. Union Pacific 844 is heading for home on a frosty November morning in Utah's Weber Canyon. The cool morning air allows for a rare white plume of smoke out of the 844.

The dirt train winds threw the Wash yard with empties that were just unloaded down the line on the Sunnyside branch. After doing there switching duties at Wash they will proceed on to Helper.

Eastbound UP 5145 and a fresh repaint 6202 meet westbound UP 8322 and 4313 at Castle Rock, Utah.

UP 7446 thunders by with the towering Echo Canyon cliff for a backdrop. The second unit is a ugly one but at least they washed the flag.
