Two U30Bs take a train through Louisa, KY, en route to Elkhorn City, KY

A C A C&O (Chessie System) westbound on now defunct C&O Cinn. to Chicago line 30 miles from the yards at Peru, IN.

Now that's patina, known as dust to the nonartistic! I think it's Sevier Yard but not 100% sure.

Now this was a find on the C&O, one in a million, the million GP-40s and GP-9s or so it seemed.

Boring stuff in 1973 but at least it was a 7 and not a 9.

Very nice new paint.

This late model of the basic 40 was shot sometime midyear 1972.

Common unit sits around awaiting something to do.

614 has cut away from its train at Balcony Falls, VA to be turned for the trip back down the James River to Richmond.
