With the morning fog starting to burn off, a member of the crew tends to his locomotive as she waits to take on water.

1917 or 2007? The fireman is Shay #2 filling up the tender. except for the fireman's sunglasses on top of his head, you would never know that this was taken in this century.

Adding to the clouds and fog in Cass, CSRR #4 and #5 race each other (as well as CSRR #2, whose headlight is reflected off of CSRR #4's tender).

Shay #5 is preparing to couple to Shay #4 while Western Maryland 67 and Western Maryland 82 wait.

The Changing of the Guard. With CSRR 5 and 4 being passed by Western Maryland 67 and 82, one can almost see the changing of the guard between steam and diesel that happened 50 years ago.
