EJ&E 660 is in run 8 working an empty ballast train over the Rainy Sub (DW&P) north of Duluth. The lone unit could barely muster 25 mph, half the allowed speed on this subdivision.
A single EJ&E SD38-2 tugs on its train of empty ballast cars headed to Virginia for loading at the Prindle pit. Shoving on the rear are a pair of J sisters, 665 and 669.
Just like the tourism radio ads says, this is "Pure Michigan", and SP 4449 looks just as good in Michigan, passing by bean fields and the ever classic red barn, as it looks back home, as a glimmer... (more)
