From the looks of it all the MLW's are trying to lay down a smoke screen to obscure the trains movement.

RMDI 2214, an ex P&W B23-7, is supposed to be the local engine after the lead units are given to the SU99.

Heat is coming off of the top of CSX 5239 and 5228 as train Q108 begins to slow so they can enter the NYSW yard at MP 4.2 on the Riverline.

With NYSW 3016 illuminating the right of way train SU99 goes into dynamic brakes preparing for the decent down Sparta Mountain.

So the Conrail on the nose may be faded but this SD50 still has its stuff as it brings an autorack train downgrade through Cresson.

With brilliant sunlight on the eastern side of the curve this hot intermodal train is led by two sister locomotives as they charge upgrade.

This eastbound has just exited the tunnels and the helpers are seen going along for the ride. On the other side of the valley you can see the rest of the train.

This pair of helpers rest quietly being that they are shut down awaiting possibly another crew.

In a few minutes this train will clear Carney Crossing as it battles through the Alleghenies.
