Frost on the grass and steam in the air as DM&IR 407 leads 141 loads of taconite pellets from Minntac's east load-out pocket to the yard at Proctor, MN on a crisp early fall morning.

On September 25, 1994, Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range SD9 No. 166 leads a taconite ore train toward Proctor at Zim, Minnesota, in a pacing view from parallel Highway 7.

IC 6252 North races Proctor-Fairlane empties through Zim a few miles south of the mine, as a thunderstorm rages to the south. A faint rainbow can be seen to the left of the frame.
