A UP stack train tackles the mountains south of Vegas in Sloan, one of 4 trains seen today. Note the abandoned tunnel to the left of the lead motor.
On the edge of Vegas. A westbound rolls into the Las Vegas valley seen at "Valley" The BNSF motor was the only "run through motor" seen the entire trip.
In the morning light, an eastbound rolls into Vegas seen at Sloan.
Leaving Las Vegas, A westbound stack train rolls across Las Vegas Blvd in Jean after meeting one at Erie (look close). Also the 7 magical mountain exhibit can be seen in the distance.

A stack train that had been "trapped" for hours by work curfews finally leaves Las Vegas. Today has been a busy day for trains as curfews kept traffic going in bunches with 10 trains.
The Denver Z winds through Sloan, south of Vegas. This interesting location is the go to place for "any sun angle" photo in the area and remarkably is only about a 10 minute drive to The Strip.
A DPU brings up the rear of a manifest arriving at Arden in Las Vegas. Arden's Cactus Rd Overpass is a great and safe place to stake out the UP in the hit or miss train environment of Vegas.

After spending a couple days in Las Vegas, the Union Pacific 8444 charges uphill on its way back to Salt Lake City and eventually to Cheyenne.
