| As dark clouds loom over the downtown Metro Nashville skyline we see both Nashville & Western Nº 4245 still sporting it's classy Santa Fe Blue Bonnet paint scheme is resting next to stable mate Nashville & Eastern Nº 5940 in the CSX scheme tied down in the small Nashville & Western Yard on the northwest side of town. Nº 4245 unfortunately is the only remaining operating Dash 7 left under the Nashville & Eastern now RJ Corman umbrella and, it's days are numbered. This B23-7 was one of five that was purchased by the N&E from BNSF in the mid 2000s to work the Tennessee Short line. During that time Nashville & Eastern had a large influx of older GE and, overtime most of the B-boat's and dash 7's were either retired or sold off to other companies.
