| Grain loads from Swift Current, Saskatchewan pull through a clear alley in CPKC's Westfort Yard and will double over their 140 loads bound for the Superior Elevator to be transferred onto ships. Meanwhile Montreal to Edmonton train 119 pulls to the top end of the yard on the north track to fuel and tag before continuing west. Over the years industries have come and gone and this once busier yard now mostly sits quiet. Things can get busy quickly when potash, coal, and endless amounts of grain from the Prairies arrive and depart from the Lakehead. |
