Remarks & Notes 
The January 1976-built southbound E-60 No. 973 whips around the big superelevated curve just north of Aberdeen's Amtrak station in March 1978- prior to the installation of concrete ties on this part of the NEC. The yellow triangles on the signals allowed an aspect of "approach limited" (45 mph) instead of "approach medium" (30 mph).
