The Barns Of Fort Blackmore. The 75th Anniversary of The Santa Train operated by CSX over the Clinchfield Railroad between Shelbiana, Kentucky and Kingsport, Tennessee was a truly special event on November 18, 2017. Arriving a day early on November 17, 2017 allowed for the opportunity to catch the deadhead move of the equipment to be in position for the next day's trip. CSX worked with the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum for the use of former Clinchfield 800 (F3) and Seaboard Coast Line 2024, which was transformed into Clinchfield 3632 (SD45). Both were restored at CSX’s Huntington Shops. A classic location on the Clinchfield Railroad, the barns at Fort Blackmore, Virginia still have some foliage surrounding them to accent the scene.
