Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad’s two new MP2000NG diesel locomotives still sit, sans trucks, near the Durango, Colorado, roundhouse on August 30, 2021. These locomotives were acquired from Motive Power and Equipment Solutions (MP&ES) in 2018 and were reportedly rebuilt from ex-Tri-Rail F40PHL-2s. Both finally arrived in Durango in late 2020, but obviously, the 3-foot gauge B-B trucks were not yet available for installation.
