Amtrak 305 hasn't pulled one of America's Passenger trains at 79 MPH in a long time, the unit along with 3 "heritage" cars has been getting a lot of use over the last 15 years training Fire Fighters and other First Responders on how to handle a train accident. I believe this is one of the few (if not the only one) training sites in the US that has full size simulations like this.
