This is Progress. EMDX 1501 (SD70ACe-T4) sits at the Progress Rail/Electro-Motive Division facility in McCook, Illinois on the evening of February 19, 2020. Built in 2015, it is an upgraded version of the SD70ACe that includes lower emissions, reduced vibration, and a redesigned cab. While most of the other units built as SD70ACe-T4 demonstrators have been sold to operating railroads, this engine remains as a test bed.
