UP Fairfax Yard to UP 18th Street Yard Transfer heads through Minnesota Avenue near Kaw Point with an Ex-MP SD40-2 rebuilt into a SD38-2 riding on home rails.

In the golden hour, EJ&E 671 heads north through Crest Hill. With heat indexes peaking 110, a 25 MPH heat restriction was enforced on the entire line today.
