A Deutsche Bundesbahn 2-10-0 pulls an eastbound freight and is about to pass 2-10-0 050 500 which has brought a local passenger train from Saarbrucken.
Two DB 23 class 2-6-2 locomotives, 072 and 044, run light through the Saarbrucken main station. This city hosted a number of the 2-6-2 types in 1970.

A matched A-B-A set of EMD E8 units is stopped at Petersburg with the SILVER STAR late in the afternoon. This was the only time that I saw such a perfect three-unit set on the SCL.
