One of the then few remaining Robe M636 units in service, 9416 was built in 1973 and had the engine cooling modification in 1990. Sadly 9416 has gone to history.
Ex Robe River Iron Ore Alcos 9412 and 9415 await their fate on an unused siding south of 7 Mile.
I was on my lunch break when I spotted the 1800 pull into the yard with a short ballast train. A few minutes later, he rolled west with the trademark burble of ALCo products.
