M653 rolls around the bend at Millard along The Big Sandy. Gotta say this looks like a very good loadout going to waste if you ask me.

After attending the Kentucky Derby the day before CSX P001-5 heads for home.

The one and only Kentucky Derby train is only a few miles from Churchill Downs and the 150th running. CSX 1,2 and 3 lead its train past a Louisville neighborhood.

GP50 7010 still in its Southern paint leads an eastbound by MP 295 as it heads for Danville then points south.

Built for the Southern in 1973 today SD40-2 3219 is regulated to yard duty. Here it has pulled out onto the lead of the K&I bridge as it works the Louisville yard.

Reportedly ex-MP and considering the replacement headlight with no number boards I would guess originally C&EI. Don't even know where I got the road name from. I found the thing by accident.

Cincinnati to Louisville NS 335 with the Reading heritage unit waits at Buechel for traffic to clear up and shortly a new crew.

Winding slowly downgrade on the serpentine branch this loaded mine run was an easy chase. Though wearing its short-lived Seaboard System number it still bears the proud logo of SCL's whipping boy... (more)
