After dropping some cars off at the Seventh Street Coach Yard, Amtrak GP7 761 returns to Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal. As it does, it passes the Los Angeles County Men's Central Jail. In February 1952, this engine rolled off the assembly line at the General Motors Electro-Motive Division as Saint Louis-San Francisco ("Frisco") GP7 621. Later acquired by locomotive leasor Precision National Corporation (as their 621), it was eventually sold to Amtrak, which renumbered and repainted it. (Los Angeles, California - May 12, 1984)
