Westbound on the “Dutch Line”, so named because of its route through areas inhabited by Pennsylvania Germans, a Western Maryland road freight crosses a stream on a bridge labelled in WM “speed” lettering. At the time, we were disappointed that the train didn’t have power that was in WM’s black and gold, or in its red, white, and black “circus” colors. As time has passed, three clean Chessie cats look a little better.
