It's great when you arrive at a beautiful winter scene, get out of your car and randomly hear a train coming less than a mile away. What's not great is walking up to the edge of a river to get in place for a shot, and then suddenly find yourself standing in 2 feet of frigid water, and your camera covered in snow from falling down. Talk about a frantic moment to not only get off of the breaking ice, but also to get the snow off the camera and wipe the lens dry. I don't how I pulled it off with less than a minute to prepare for this shot.
Interestingly composed shots that grab the viewers eye right from the thumbnail. Check out the main group on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1715297@N25
