| Maryland & Delaware 1203 is hard at work in Federalsburg not long before being sidelined in favor of newer power provided by Carload Express. The crew is in the process of arranging cars for Dart Container and the DCR interchange. At right is the Federalsburg train station which housed MDDE's headquarters. Between the cars on the main and 1203 is MDDE's two-stall engine house. The old 70-ton open hopper behind 1203 is used as a buffer car when hazmat is being handled. On this day I assume it was being repositioned for a future move. |
