Five-Axle At Night. Former CDOT FL-9 2023 (née-New Haven 2057) is the 3rd to last F unit built by EMD. The FL-9 order was a custom design for the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad and the State Of Connecticut, including dual mode electric and diesel-electric motors for travel to New York City underground. The second to last FL-9, NH 2058 is owned by Webb Rail LLC - WEBX, the last, NH 2059, is owned by Railroad Museum of New England. On Saturday, October 21, 2023, the Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum hosted its 19th Annual Night Photo Shoot, and this locomotive was part of the festivities.
