The Wide Cab Leader Re-Debuts On SU-99. On Friday, April 21, 2023, a relatively early departure of New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway SU-99 from Ridgefield Park, New Jersey to Binghamton, New York on a beautiful sunny day brought abundant sunshine to the second time a repainted SD70M-2 has led the road train in this direction. NYSW 4064 (SD70M-2), NYSW 3022 (SD40-2) and NYSW 3016 (SD33ECO) made quick work of the evening daylight portion of the trip, making it well into New York State in daylight. This summer portends to be an interesting one for the NYSW, featuring a number of recently repainted locomotives. After making a quick stop in Sparta, New Jersey, the train passed by Baird's Farm in Warwick, New York in beautiful light.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
