Remarks & Notes

The 1982 sale of Conrail’s Utica and Syracuse branches to the New York, Susquehanna and Western brought more Alco power to an area already recognized as a railfan attraction due to the Delaware & Hudson roster. Here a D&H RS11 switches in East Binghamton yard as a Susquehanna C420 leaves with a cut of interchange cars.
