Remarks & Notes
PHL YPUP08 rounds the LAXT loop with a train from UP's ICTF Support Yard in Carson bound for APL's Global Gateway South facility on Terminal Island. Within the LAXT loop was once the site of a short-lived coal export facility. After it closed, the model railroad-like trackage around it became used as storage for inbound trains, building outbound trains, and turning consists. Behind the loop is the Vincent Thomas Bridge, which links Terminal Island with San Pedro. Leading the way on the 0800 UP Dock Job is PHL 70, an ex-CN SD40 which is now an MP20C-3.
