What In The NRFF Is Going On Here? Former Reading & Northern (RBMN) CF7 1504 (née ATSF 43C , EMD F7A) has been a resident of the Red River Valley & Western for over a decade and a half, but one previous ownership is very much in evidence. Although NRFF (North Reading Fast Freight) is only one of RBMN's daily trains, it is far and away the most popular for area railfans. This engine has had stints at the RMBN, North Shore, and Stoubridge Railroads after a long career with the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway (ATSF) and conversion from F7 to CF7. It sits quietly on the evening of Saturday, August 1, 2021 as a hazy sunset descends upon Breckenridge, Minnesota.
