Great Night. During a visit to the historic Izaak Walton Inn, one can not only see trains but stay in one! In 2009, former ATSF (since repainted) Great Northern EMD F45 441 was brought to Essex, Montana on its own wheels. For a fee, one can stay in the engine for the night as it has had its running gear removed and has been converted to lodging. On Monday, August 2, 2021, it sits trackside on the former Great Northern/current BNSF Railway, awaiting the next train for its occupants.
