This beautiful, streamlined T-1, Pennsylvania Railroad number 5533, was built in 1946 by Baldwin Locomotive Works, where my great, great Uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., worked as a design engineer. He only gave my father two Pennsylvania T-1 builders photo cards, the 5533 and the 6110. When my father would travel as a young boy to visit his great Uncle Rob, Uncle Rob would give him some of these Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo and specification cards, and my father had quite a collection. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
Dedicated to my father, John R. Doughty, Sr., and to his great uncle, Robert F. McKee, Sr., who worked at the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a senior design engineer, including working on the design for the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range 2-8-8-4 Yellowstones
