The fate of the remaining NYGL equipment rusting away on the Dundee Spur in Passaic, NJ remains unknown after the railroad has agreed to abandon the 1.1 spur off the former Erie Bergen County Cutoff. The NYGL fell into disarray after failing to pay taxes. As a result the IRS seized the land and sold it to Passaic Properties. After some legal issues between the NYGL and the city of Passaic, the railroad has finally fallen to its enemy, and will soon tear up the right of way in favor of redevelopment.
