We went up to catch the Dry Valley Railroad operation by Soda Springs, Idaho. They had recently started using a couple Alaskan F units. When we got there we found their former power lying in a pile up of wreckage. Two ex Milwaukee SD9's and Western Pacific GP7 701. The wreck occurred on September 2, 1988. The locomotives were being leased from Mountain Diesels and were cut up on site.
